Wide Awake

Wide awake tonight,

Nobody’s holding on tight.

The darkness is heavy on this heart,

and it’s tearing her apart.

Silence; night doesn’t breath a word,

In bed alone with nothing to be heard.

Visions of torn up sheets,

Make that heavy heart begin to beat.

Dreaming of peace and mayhem together,

A world that’s sadly not going to be there.

Could you keep her?

Give a new dream of tranquil and splendour,

All the while only wanting to bend her.

Wide awake tonight,

Where is my Knight?
